Hello everyone!

We are about to put any suspicions to rest. I really am on this trip! Elle.

That's me in front of the tallest twin towers in the world Kuala Lumpur.

Justin and I rode this aqua bike from Singapore to Malaysia and rescued two small children along the way.

The cabin like building is where we "roughed it" in Teman Negara rainforest.

After staying in Kuala Lumpur for a few days and getting skunked at the wave pool twice we decided to head on. If you don't know Kuala Lumpur has a water park which boasts an 8ft wave which you can surf on during certain hours. The park was a short five block walk followed by a monorail ride followed by a train ride followed by a bus from our hotel. Surfing is only available on sat/sun so we went there on sat and the pool was being rented for private party. Sunday we tried again after calling to confirm surfing was available but when we arrived they told us they were booked for the day. We almost pulled a Chevy Chase wolly world but decided against it. On a side note the majority of the women at the pool wear pants and head coverings in the pool. We understand the reasoning but it's pretty funny to see at the waterpark.

So after reading on the internet that there is some real surf on the east coast we packed up rented a car and went over. We arrived yesterday and the waves were what you would expect 1 ft.
After some deliberation we searched the guide book for something we couldn't miss in Malaysia and discovered the world's oldest rain forest is here so that's where we arrived today. The rain forest has wild elephant, tigers, leopard and just about everything else you could imagine. Except beer. Even though the beer on sale all over Malaysia is Singapore's Tiger beer which has a picture of a tiger on the can. Seems to me it fits the theme of the park. This must to be a religious area. Elle has been suffering from an allergic reaction so we decided to hold off on the night safari action until she is feeling better. Tomorrow we do hope to do some day hiking through the jungle with a qualified guide of course.

Well, Elle didn't get better until after we left the rainforest that's why these shots are just of me. The rope latter thing is the longest of it's type in the world 500m it makes you remember if you are afraid of heights and forgot. I am and did. The other one Elle took near the entrance to the park it's hard to show pictures of the forest because it's so big and there is no good perspective but huge tree pictures are easy. I did not see any tigers but I don't think you really want to. I saw a bunch of wild boar and was sufficiently scared. They sound meaner than they are I think.

There are quite a lot of tourists at the park but once you start hiking you never see anybody it's pretty cool. I hiked for 4 hours one day and only saw one person in the first five minutes and then was alone. The jungle is really dark even on sunny days becuase of the canopy. Even though tigers are hardly ever spotted and if they are it's usually at night they creep into the back of your mind when you're alone for a long period of time. They are kind of like land sharks.

Tomorrow we are heading to Thailand can't wait.

Lembongan

This is the view from our place in Nusa Lembongan. Seaweed farming is the main industry here which they mostly sell to the cosmetic industry. At high tide this bay looks completely different. Crystal clear blue water and there are four surf spots on the outer reefs. Unfortunately for us the waves are a little fickle and some of the more shallow waves have wooden spikes in which are part of the seaweed farms! Very relaxed atmosphere here though and a fun place to hang even without the surf.
